First long ride in Missouri and it was wet. I went to The Hub for their group ride, but nobody wanted to venture out in the rain today. I headed out solo onto Clayton Road, then #109 where I got a KOM on a climb. After passing Eureka and more rain, I headed back home. Nice to get a ride with a little less traffic and stop lights. That is going to be the biggest adjustment in St. Louis with all the starting and stopping.

I am going to miss these roads out here in Oregon. I have one more day of riding before we head off to Missouri. Today was a good mixture of climbing, little sunshine, little rain, and helping a little goat that had got its head stuck in a fence and couldn't get out.

Good day out on the roads. After heading to Sauvie Island, I headed up to Washington Park to do 4 loops on Kingston Dr. It is a nice 2 mile climb with a 1 mile recover downhill. Legs felt pretty good and 70 miles on a Wednesday is ok.

Good day climbing in the West Hills today. I did 5 x (53rd to Skyline). It is a tough climb with switchbacks at the first and a little down section, then back to two more climbs. After a long day of flying (left Boston early in the morning) and it being really hot out, made for a challenging day.

Great ride today out on the East county roads. We pushed some of the flats, then we pushed some on the hills. It was awesome to have sunshine and light winds for the 65+ miles out there. Luckily there was only one puncture that we had to deal with and I didn't break anything on my bike today, so not bad.

The Steelhead Training group was back together yesterday. It was fun to ride with everybody even though my day was full of punctures and mechanical issues. We headed up Rocky Point and I got a puncture about a mile up. My derailleur hanger came off because I somehow sheared both bolts off. I also got a puncture on the way home on Skyline, but since it was such a nice day and good company, it was all good. Can't beat a spring day in the Pacific Northwest with sunny skies and calm winds.
