Solstice 100 was a great gravel race in Malcolm, NE. If you think that Nebraska is flat, come ride some of the roads north of Lincoln and you will see what I mean.
I was able to get the overall win and I now have two wins in the master category for the Nebraska Gravel Point Series. We were lucky to have a little cooler weather and light winds for the day. With all of the rain this past week, they had to change up the course a little. By eliminating all of the MMRs, we didn't have to deal with any muddy sections. That was great, since I am not a fan of the bike-n-hike.
A big shout out to Science in Sport for keeping me fueled all day. The GO Hydro electrolyte drink seems to work really well for me and I didn't have any cramping issues.
This was my third race this month and I am looking forward to having a rest week coming up. My next race will be July 21st at Bohemian Sto Mil 2018. This should be another great day on a really hilly course.
