Week #38 - 545 miles
This week I got in a couple 100 mile rides to bring the yearly count up to 67. Today I kept it all on the trail and rode fairly fast. It felt good to push the pace some and I should have plenty of time to recover before next Friday when we take off for Cannonball 550. On next Wednesday, I will have completed 1,000 days of consecutive riding and I will get my average up to 100 kilometers per day. I would suspect that there are not that many people that have achieved this, but I am sure there are a few. Then on Friday morning we take off on Cannonball. It should be a fun event but still very challenging. The goal is to stop as little as possible. There are 7 towns that I plan on stopping at. Most are only 60 - 70 miles apart, so that should be doable. The weather looks like it will cooperate, but it is still a few days away, so that can all change.
